My name is Monica Menchaca. I am a preschool teacher and have been teaching since 2002. I attended Humphrey University. I have always enjoyed working with children, even volunteering as a cheer coordinator. I have been married for nine years. We have three children: Angel, Laila, and Albert Jr. I look forward to continuing my joy in preschool at SCP.

My name is Carmen Baugh. My husband Russ and I have three children. Our daughter Courtney is an Associate Professor at University of Houston. She and her husband Zach live in Spring, Texas and have a daughter Zephyr, born in Sept. 2023. Our son James is in a doctorate program at University of Illinois. He and his wife Katrina live in Wheaton, Illinois. James and Katrina also run a nonprofit organization called Radical Hospitality Ministries which is dedicated to assisting formerly incarcerated individuals. Our daughter Sally, is a teacher at Sequoia Christian Preschool and is also my assistant director.
I have worked in the preschool field for 25 years. I am incredibly blessed to be able to work at SCP, a ministry of Sequoia Church, where I have been a member since 1984. My favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”

Hi, I’m Sally Baugh. I teach the three-year-old class here at Sequoia Christian Preschool. I graduated from Ripon Christian in 2013. I went to MJC to become a preschool teacher, and finished that qualification in 2015. I have volunteered and worked in preschools for 9 years.
I have two babies, Fergus, who is a 4-year-old Beagle, and George, who is a 14-year-old cat. I have been attending Sequoia Heights Baptist Church since I was born in 1995. I accepted Jesus as my Savior when I was 7.
My favorite Bible verse is Joshua 1:9:” Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

My name is Heidi Darling and I am blessed with a sweet husband, two boys, a step daughter and two grandchildren. I was raised in the little Sierra Nevada foothill town of Murphy’s. My hobbies include railroading, motorcycle riding, travel and art. I believe that kids need plenty of hands on experiences, lots of music and lots of pretend play in order to learn about the world around them. Also, I love to sing songs with the children and teach them about our loving Savior Jesus Christ.
I received my Associates in Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2008. I have been one of the pre-K teachers at Sequoia Christian since August of 2018.
My favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Hi, my name is Koreen Goltz I'll be teaching the 2's and 3's this year at Sequoia Preschool. I can't tell how excited I am to be joining this team. I love teaching children. I've been teaching for 16 years. l'm married to my wonderful husband Roger Goltz. Have two daughters and three grandsons. My husband and I are members of Sequoia Church.
I got my early childhood education at Delta College in Stockton.
I like camping, going for walks, arts and crafts, museums, zoos, aquariums, Christian music, watching movies. I Like hot tea or coffee in cold weather, ice tea or coffee in hot weather. Favorite color: burgundy, Favorite food: Mexican. Can't wait to meet you all.
Esther Villalobos
Hi, my name is Esther Villalobos I'll be teaching the 3 year olds this year at Sequoia Christian Preschool.I graduated from Sierra High School in 2020. I am going to San Joaquin Delta college at the moment and working towards my Associates in Early Childhood development.
Things I like to do are, play instruments, sing, write and cook. I also love to take road trips, my favorite places to go are the mountains and the beach.
My favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
